NO more Junk food

What I have been eating for the past 11 days

I have been doing a personal experiment..I am a TOTAL junk food junkie…but not potato chips, hot dogs, and pizza kind of junk food.  OH NO, Sweets are what do it for me.  Ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, the more icing, the better…the more nuts, caramel and chocolate…the better!  I eat relatively healthy otherwise..drink coffee and water mostly, and exercise LOTS, but to no avail, I was not losing any kind of weight.  So, I decided I would try something I have heard before and see if this would work for me. I had heard that if you quit eating sugar and artifical sweetners for 2 weeks, your body would not crave it anymore.  No crazy fad diet, no cleanse or supplements..just simply removing sugar from my diet…un-natural sugar..for 2 weeks and see if I could cure my craving for pure sugar right after dinner and here and there during the day.  I am happy to report that 11 days into my NO SUGAR “diet”, I have lost 3 lbs!  I am SUPER-DE-DUPER excited.  Oh, I forgot to mention..no carbonated drinks either.  I have had water, coffee and wine in those 11 days..and nothing else.  I have started running at least 12 miles a week..and really watching what I eat.  The weight is great, and the inches are much more than the weight..BUT the biggest challenge for me was the craving.  I wanted to quit craving sugar all the time!!!  I am also happy to report that I don’t crave it.  I would still like it, but do not “need” it throughout the day, I often don’t think about it anymore.  I am so happy with my experiment..I think I will continue.  I of course will have sugar occasionally but my belly feels much better and I don’t have crazy swings in moods because of the “sugar high/drop.”   It really is the simple things in life that make it so much better!:)

NO JUNK FOOD + HAPPY MOMMY = HAPPY FAMILY
