It’s all about the Organization { Fabulous Friday}

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the items in your house, or where to put odds and ends, or just need help organizing a room so it functions better for you crazy, busy life?

Check out these visually pleasing, inexpensive, and super cute ideas to help you do that.  :)

Tabletop Chic

A grouping of milk glass cups and bowls found at flea markets and garage sales for as little as 25 cents each are a decorative way to store pens, pencils, paper clips, and other office supplies. Mix and match vessels of different patterns and shapes in the same color on a bright-color tray for a stylish, cohesive look.

How adorable is this for a child's art center, or for a pretty display on your desk?? LOVE

The Big Picture

To get a handle on all the food, gadgets, and equipment that live in the kitchen, catalog those you use regularly and divide them based on where in the room they’re most used. Store things as close as possible to where you use them. If you rarely or never use an item, give it away or store it in an out-of-the-way spot, such as in the basement, on high shelves in the pantry, or in the back of a corner cabinet

I think I am in love...Spices are just not something that are easily stored...but this looks so pretty.

Make It Welcoming

Use shelves or cubbies with handsome labeled bins or cloth-lined baskets to add storage while creating a smooth and attractive transition into the house.

Oh the fun colors!!! I love this idea because it can be done on any wall in your house without having to have a specific "mudroom" area.

Room for Everyone

Since every family member spends time in this room, it can become a jumble of activities and stuff. Create storage for each activity, whether it’s reading, playing games, watching TV, paying bills, or playing with a pet.

This makes me happy! The color, the function, and a place for everyone to be in the same room makes for a happy family!! Beautiful color, function, and use of space!

Scale Down

Kids shouldn’t have to ask for help to reach their belongings. Make playthings more accessible by installing shelves, cubbies, and hooks at a child’s height. Open storage allows kids to display their favorite things, while trunks are perfect for bulky or seldom-used items.

How great to see how to add a "window seat/built ins" look without the expense. This room is perfect for a little girl! Easy to access all her favs, pretty in pink, and OH SO CUTE! ( easily tranferable to a boy)

Build Your Own Laundry Station

A pair of stacked shelves flanking the appliances offer stylish storage. You’ll need a miter saw to make the joints on the molded base and cap of each unit, but pre-cut shelving and furniture legs from a home improvement center offer shortcuts for most of the construction. Build the units so they’re slightly taller than your appliances so you can rest a slab of solid surfacing or laminate countertop on them for a work surface.

What a great way to make your own laundry station when one doesn't come with the home. I would do laundry SO much more!
