Stunning Senior {Gainesville Senior Photographer}

Highschool Seniors are a “breed” all their own…and I eat it up!!  I love photographing Highschool Seniors!  They are fun, inventinve, sassy, and full of life.  I miss being a Senior in Highschool..sometimes! :)  I have had so much fun with the seniours I have had sessions with so far, so when I saw this post about entering into Chic Critique’s Cover Contest for their upcoming, highly anticipated magazine..I thought a Highschool Senior was perfect.  Unfortunately I could not put everyone on the cover that I have photographed in the past, but since this one was recently critiqued by one of Chic Critique’s Celebrity Photographer’s, Laura Winslow of Laura Winslow Photography, I thought it seemed appropriate to showcase this one.   I am so excited to even be able to enter, much less be considered.

Fingers Crossed!  Steph

Week 5 {Glimpses 52} Proud Mommy Moment

I have never understood the passion sports mom’s have for their children during a baseball, football, or soccer game.  I understood wanting your child to win, and do well, but never really understood how the parent felt, their nervousness, or excitement…UNTIL!  This weekend I got IT.  My daughter competed in her first Gymnastics Competition at 6 years of age.  I was excited for her beforehand, we talked up the competition, tired not to place much emphasis on trophies and such, but what did I find myself doing?  Wanting her to get a medal, wanting her to nail every landing, point her toes, salute the judges properly..biting my nails the whole time.  I FINALLY got it..I was one of those parents.  Granted I had to be a quiet nervous mommy because I didn’t want to break their concentration and drive to do well also.  My husband and I sat patiently, along with friend and Grandparents, to see if her name would be called for medals and all around trophy.  She DID it!!!  She placed in all 4 events, her scores were great, and she placed second in All Around for her age group.  We couldn’t have been more proud that day.  As she came up to show us all of her awards, we all had tears in our eyes for that precious baby girl who has worked so hard and did well that day.  She has drive, determination, strength, and an ounce of stubborness..which doesn’t hurt a bit.:)  I have never had my heart fill with such pride as I did that day for her!  I was THAT Mommy that day and I finally got it!!

So on my Week 5 of Glimpses with Chic Critique Forum, I share with you my very proud Mommy/Parent moment!!

Very focused!

My babe won first place on bars!

Week 4 {Glimpses 52} Gainesville Children’s Photographer

This week ( really last week) for my week 4 Glimpses 52 with Chic Critique Forum, I chose to post about a very special little one in our lives.

As you grow up, typically you have cousins in your life that you see, play with and hopefully grow closer to as you grow older.  They are your buddies, someone you see at Grandma’s house, and your parents nieces and nephews..THIS is the part that you don’t really quite grasp the magnitude of until you have a niece or nephew of your own.  We, my husband and I, are lucky enough to have two very precious nieces, and my daughter’s two super fun playmates.  NO ONE told me that when these two little tiny, blue-eyed people were born that I would quite possibly love them as much as my own.  Crazy, I know…how could you love someone else’s child as much as your own..but plain and simple, I do!  I adore these little girls!  I love being with them, watching them grow, and most importantly getting to spoil them rotten since I AM the Aunt!  :0

This past week, my week 4, our youngest niece turned 1.  I cannot believe how time has flown for this baby girl.  I still remember the night we got the call that Mommy was in labor.  I couldn’t wait to get own to Albany, Ga.  to see her.  We live 4 hours away from my BIL and SIL, so that makes it hard, but we make it work.  So, here we are 1 year later, and the joy of getting to be her Aunt still makes me giddy inside.  We had a great time celebrating with her and look forward to so many milestones to share in her sweet life.

Sweetheart Pet Session { Gainesville Pet Photographer}

Tailwaggers is a precious little place I found through a friend for our 4-legged child to go and play  a few times a week.  These women are wonderful, beautiful, and truly lovers of animals.  We, as a family, couldn’t feel more blessed to have found this haven for our Raja.  He looks forward to going and seeing Ms. Mary and Ms. Billie each day and playing with his buddies outside.  If you live in the Gainesville area, you are missing out if you have not taken your furry babies to this very loving playground for your animal.  They offer grooming, daycare, and boarding..and an abundant amount of love.

We are having a Sweetheart Session for your pets on Friday, Feb 3rd from 8:30-10:30..please come by to see us.  We will have some goodies for your pets, of course, and the adults will be entered into some super giveaways.

**A portion of the proceeds will benefit the NEGA Humane Society**  Which is another facility that is near and dear to my heart.  They do such amazing work and give such unconditional care to these animals, that I am truly humbled when I walk into their precious “home” as well.
